Thanx to Air Asia free flight offer, last December, I managed to get 4 super cheap flights, PNG - KUL - CNX - BKK - PNG, for only RM 200. So off I go for a vacation again
The bad thing about cheap flights is, you need to compromise with the the crazy travel schedules. Since our KLIA-LCCT - Chiang Mai Airport flight is early in the morning, we have to take the night flight from Penang to KLIA-LCCT. Man LCCT really sucks, so we took the RM 1.50 public bus to KLIA main terminal. Really don't understand why the journey took so long as we can see the KLIA main terminal from the LCCT terminal. Both terminal is just side by side each other.
Boring night in KLIA luckily the whole departure hall has free Wifi hotspot. Wow I am really impressed. But too bad I can only surf the Internet can't get my MSN to work.
Whole night really long so I managed to play with my digital camera skills too. Just learned the skills to adjust camera aperture and shutter speed from a friend so I put the skills into practice and this is what I got.
After 7 long hours waiting in KLIA, we had our breakfast and left to KLIA-LCCT from the bus terminal for RM 1.50. Our KUL - CNX flight took 2 hours and 45 minute.
Chiang Mai Day 1
Reach Chiang Mai airport at 12 am. Taxi to Hotel cost 120 baht. Then we got a taxi to bring us on a tour around 4 famous temples in Chiang Mai city for 300 baht. The tour ends at Chiang Mai night bazaar.
Note : All taxi & tut tut in Chiang Mai charge fixed price 100 baht traveling within the city.
Chiang Mai Day 2
Wake up early for the complimentary breakfast. Engage the same taxi again to bring us to a small town call Chiang Dao to visit Chiang Dao Caves, Elephant Rides and Long Neck Human Zoo for 1000 baht and Doi Suthep Temple for 500 baht.
First Stop Chiang Dao Temple.
Chiang Dao Cave enterance fee 20 baht. Chiang Dao Cave private guided tour 100 baht.
Next Stop Long Neck Human Zoo
Enterance fee, 600 baht. It is disturbing to visit this human zoo. Sorry no pictures. It is so sick.
Chiang Mai Elephants
Wah I must be crazy touching a wild elephants. Well I must do what I must do.
Last Stop Doi Suthep
A beautiful thai temple on top of a hill. Can view the whole Chiang Mai city from the temple. A must visit destination in Chiang Mai.
Chiang Mai Day 3
Early breakfast and paid 100 baht for transportation to Chiang Mai Airport.
